Prof. Agostino Bruzzone

Prof. Agostino Bruzzone is in charge as Director of the Technical Council of “SIMulation applications in Management, PLanning & Forecasting” for the Society of Computer Simulation International.

He is Simulation Team MITIM DIPTEM Genoa Director for the McLeod Institute of Simulation Science (an Institution with 28 Centers distributed worldwide: Brazil, China, USA, UK, Italy, France, Germany, Canada, Spain etc.) and he is General Director of M&S Net an International Network involving 34 Centers.

He is founder member and president of the Liophant Simulation and Simulation Team.
Currently he works in the Department of Industrial Production, Thermoenergy, Engineering and Mathematical Modelling (DIME, formerly DIPTEM, DIPEM, DIP and ITIM) at the University of Genoa as Full Professor. He is active in the field of simulator-based applications for industrial plants, developing new methodologies and intelligent system integration techniques.

He served as M&S Project Leader for NATO Science and Technology Organization, Center for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE).

MSc. Alejandro Di Bernardi

Aeronautical Engineer from the National University of La Plata (UNLP) – Argentina and Master in Airport Systems (MSA) from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) – Spain where he also obtained three titles of Specialist in airport issues.

Director of the Specialization in “Airport Projects”, postgraduate career in Aeronautical Engineering. Director of the “Research, Development, Extension and Transfer Unit” UIDET GTA.-GIAI. GIAI “Group of Engineering Applied to Industry” and G.T.A. “Air Transport Group” of the Department of Aeronautics

He has professional experience related to technical assistance and consulting services in more than 100 airports and heliports, also, he has participated and directed the development of 37 airport master plans in the area of ​​the Argentine Republic and has participated in the preparation of the guidelines of the Federal Strategic Transport Plan of the Argentine Republic (PFETRA), and in the development of the National Strategic Plan for Civil Aviation (PENAC) of Peru among others. 

Co-author of several publications in the area of ​​airports, air transport and in the area of ​​aeronautical engines. Guest professor at different institutions. He has taught courses, classes, conferences or talks in more than 40 institutions and universities. 

Professional expert of the ICAO Technical Co-operation Program (TCP) in the following thematic areas: “Aerodrome Engineer”, “Airport Master Plan Expert”, and “Airport and Engine Emissions Expert”. Member of the Board of Directors of the Iberoamerican Network for Air Transport Research (RIDITA). Co-founder and member of the board of directors of the “International Group on Aviation and Multimodal Transport Research (IGAMT)” led by Dr. Miguel Mujica Mota of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Aviation Academy. Team made up of professionals from AUAS (Netherlands), ENAC (France), UNAM (Mexico), UNLP (Argentina).

Dra. Ana Luisa Alfaro

Dr. Alfaro is the Chief Science officer at GSTS. Ana has an extensive background in spaceborne data analysis, electrical and computer engineering, physics, aeronomy and remote sensing. She was directly involved in developing a multi-million-dollar satellite constellation system to support marine safety and security, defence and commercial activities. She also worked on the signal characterization, modelling and data analysis for the “Enhanced Maritime Surveillance” project with Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC). She was engaged in projects with the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency, including a major international Phase A mission study for which she modeled signals propagation and detection from a global sensor network.   Ana joined GSTS in 2013 and was the technical lead for projects with Transport Canada, APEC and International Science & Technology Partnerships Canada Inc. (ISTPCanada).  


Prof. Abdel El Makhloufi

Dr. Abdel El Makhloufi is researcher Mainport Logisitiek at the Logistics research group of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. A. El Makhloufi has a PhD in economics (regional and urban economics) from the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Since his graduation he has been working as a Researcher  at various universities and research institutions, including TNO, Utrecht University (USE) and Vrije Universiteit. Dr. Abdel El Makhloufi has published in both national and international top scientific journals like Nature or similar ones.


Dr. Manuel Ordorica Mellado

Actuary of the Faculty of Sciences at National Autonomous University of México (UNAM); Master in Demography from El Colegio de México (COLMEX) and Doctor in Operation Research at UNAM. He made a Speciality in Demographic Analysis at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He was head of Demographic Evaluation in the General Directorate of Statistics and Director of Population Studies at Consejo Nacional de Población (CONAPO); Consultant in Population Education at UNESCO. He coordinated the Master in Demography and the Doctorate in Population Studies at COLMEX. He was Director and Secretary General in the same institution. He was part of the Editorial Board of the Population review of the INED (Institut national d’études démographiques) in Paris. He has been a member of the technical committee for Redistricting and for the evaluation of the electoral roll at the National Electoral Institute (INE). He belongs to the National System of Investigators level III (SNI). In 1998 he received the National Demography Award. He made a sabbatical stay at the CentroGeo of Conacyt. He has published several articles in Population Projections and in mathematical demography. In 2016, his book on the Great Problems of Mexico was published, edited by COLMEX and UNAM. In 2017 Springer published the article: Estimation of the population of small areas through the Kalman Filter. He is currently a Research Professor at El Colegio de México and works in Mathematical Demography.
